Tarja Vesanto has been appointed as the new CEO of Novox, effective November 1, 2023. Tarja has been with Novox since 2021 as a specialist.
Novox founder and long-time CEO, Petri Vesanto, will continue as Chairman of the Board and serve as a Senior Advisor in customer relations.
Tarja has a strong international industrial background from her roles at Air Liquide in Finland, Sweden, France, and the Netherlands, where she worked for 8 years before joining Novox in 2021. She holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Aalto University.
Tarja will be based at Novox’s Dutch office in Rotterdam. Novox aims to expand its operations in the Netherlands, and Tarja’s residency there is a natural step in this expansion.
The Rotterdam industrial and port area has a lot of advanced industry. The energy transition is also underway in this area, and we at Novox see a demand for our services in the region. Tarja visits Novox’s Finnish office monthly to meet with customers and other Novox employees in person.
Cleaner and more sustainably produced energy, which helps to secure the opportunity for this and future generations to enjoy nature and minimize the effects of climate change, is a very important topic for Tarja.
In her free time, Tarja enjoys exercising. Running, cycling, and swimming are pleasant activities to do in the Netherlands. When possible, she enjoys more hilly landscapes, such as Finnish Lapland and the Alps of Central Europe. She plans to go on a traditional ski trek in January, this time to Urho Kekkonen National Park.
